“It is half and half shiraz and cabernet. French and American oak barrels are used for maturation. It does the classic Aussie blend well with soft red fruits meeting blue fruits and herbal lift, touches of woody spice, some white pepper, a pleasing, barely there eucalyptus lift. Tannins are quite sinewy, but succulent, the wine medium weight, just, and fresh feeling yet still deeply flavoured. A touch of gummy, resinous oak pokes out, but forgivable in the mesh of good shiraz-cab characters here.” Halliday Wine Companion 91 points Silver
