GRANITE BELT'S FINEST

Estate Grown & Made Fine Wines

Introducing

Robert Channon and his exceptional wines

Heralded ‘King of the Verdelho’ by wine critics and with Australia-wide trophies for Chardonnay and Sparkling Chardonnay, his wines have even been selected to be served to Queen Elizabeth II.

“Robert Channon and verdelho feel synonymous to me, with serious examples of the variety a calling card – textural chew, pithy and leaner fruit characters, savouriness as the positive variables here.”                  Mike Bennie, Halliday Wine Companion - Dec 2022

Robert Channon’s wines are grown and made on the estate at Amiens just outside Stanthorpe, in the cool high-altitude Granite Belt wine region of Queensland, Australia.

Visiting the Granite Belt

A scenic 2.5hr drive from Brisbane, the Granite Belt Wine Region is a place of striking granite landscapes, artisan foods, cosy cottage escapes and around 40 cellar doors.

At a cool 1000m above sea level, no other wine region of Australia has so many wineries at high altitude - a distinction reflected in the alternative variety wines grown and their elegance and complexity.
